“Fantastic experience, where are you going to play golf like this” Jeff, Glenlaurel Guest
Our Scottish Links Golf Course is intended to convey the look and feel of a Scottish golf course built over 100 years ago—if you played golf in 1899, you wouldn’t find lush fairways, golf carts and manicured surroundings. The sand greens are a composite of sand and clay and have approximately 22%-25% clay mixed into the sand.
Keep in mind we are trying to replicate how golf was actually played over a 100 years ago. Golf was not as refined as it is today for the equipment and the actual tees, greens, and fairways. We have tried to mimic our course to be similar to that era.
The Scottish Links at Glenlaurel will re-create that old-style, rustic feel and provide an abbreviated lesson in golf history by presenting the challenges our ancestors faced.
|First Round||$18 and includes use of 4 hickory shaft clubs, 3 links golf balls, sand tee and score card & instructions|
“Not a golfer, took up the challenge and really enjoyed it.”
