The Dewar Suite Suite
Named for the Dewar clan, the Dewar Suite is located on the first floor of the Carriage House and is a mix of old-world and contemporary design. From the textured walls and stained-glass windows to the claw foot tub, the suite is sure to boast the same cozy experience and attention to detail guests have come to expect.
As for the namesake, the first time the Dewar clan appeared on the Ragman Roll was in 1296. They received a charter for their lands in 1474 from Lord Borthwick. The current Dewar chief was recognized in 1990 by Lord Lyon.
The Dewar Suite boasts a bevy of amenities sure to make you feel right at home. With heated floors, and a two-person multi head shower, and a Scottish claw foot tub, the bathroom is an upscale design with a calming color palette. The Regency Royal King bed is sure to make you feel like a king or queen! The bedroom windows look out over the Highland Scott’s Trail with the ability to watch movies on the modern 46” smart tv – either from the bedroom or from two comfortable chairs. The corner gas log fireplace is sure to add the extra touch of ambiance while sipping tea or enjoying a cocktail prepared in the modern kitchenette.
