Arrival and Departure
Rooms are ready for check-in
after 3:30 p.m. and
departure before 11:30 a.m. While we make every attempt
to accommodate early arrivals, we cannot guarantee
availability before 3:30 p.m.
Dining
All meals are special at Glenlaurel. A full cooked
breakfast is included with your room rate. Dinner is
an extra special event at Glenlaurel and we take
great pride in using only the freshest ingredients
to create a memorable and note worthy dining
experience. A candlelight dinner is served every
evening at 7 pm in the Manor House. We also offer
in-room dining for your dining pleasure. There is a
single entree with a fixed price. The current
five-course dinner is priced at $49 per person,
which includes everything except tax and gratuity.
On Saturday, we feature our signature seven-course
dinner, which is priced at $59 per person. We prefer
24-hour reservations, however we may accept
reservations until 2:00 pm the day of
dining. Canceling with less
than
24-hours notice will result in a full charge for dining
reservations. Also, upon
confirmation of your reservation, please advise us
of any special dietary restrictions or requests.
Driving Conditions
The roads to and from Glenlaurel are rural and are
well maintained by the county. Many of the roads are
curvy and some have steep terrain. All of the roads
on the property are gravel and can become slippery
at times. For best results during inclement weather,
a four-wheel drive would be the recommended choice
of transportation. We regret we are unable to offer
refunds due to severe weather.
General
Glenlaurel is a smoke free property. There is no
smoking anywhere on the property. This includes the
guest rooms, public spaces, balconies, decks, buildings,
and the entire 140-acre estate and grounds.
Glenlaurel is an idyllic setting for just the two of
you...children are seldom seen, but often created.
Please keep in mind, we offer
parenting getaways for the benefit of parents. We
can recommend nearby areas well suited to couples
with children. Sorry, no pets permitted. You may be
reached from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at (740)
385-4070 and at other times with your room extension
number.
Amenities
There may be times when appliances, hot tubs,
fireplaces, electronics, etc. can malfunction. We
strive to service & restore these amenities as
quickly as possible and we are unable to provide any
rental concession for time without these items. In
addition, loss of electricity, water, or any other
“Acts of God & Mother Nature,” that are outside our
control will not result in a refund or discount of
any kind. Due to the cleaning and servicing of the
hot tubs, there are times when the water temperature
is not at peak temperature and may need additional
time to heat. We ask that you adhere to the
guidelines and policies with regards to the use of
amenities to allow them to function at peak
efficiency. Failing to do so may result in damage &
excessive cleaning fees.
Reservations
Guest Services are available each day from 9a.m. – 6
p.m., 1-800-809-REST (7378). For your convenience,
you can also check availability and make
reservations online. If you have any questions or
don’t see what you are looking for, please call
guest services.
An advance deposit of one night's lodging is required to
confirm your reservation. All rates are for two people
and include a full breakfast. There is a two-night
minimum on the weekends. If you reserve a Friday or
Saturday night, you must link it with one other night at
the weekend rate. Sunday night is at the weekend rate
unless it is linked with Monday night in which case, we
will discount it to a weeknight. During the month of
October, all of our accommodations are at the weekend
rate.
Confirmation
Your reservation is considered a confirmed booking with
Glenlaurel or with Calling Inn staff at the time of your
booking.
If you reserve using our email reservation system (Webervations,
which includes your charge card number), we will
contact you by phone within 24 hours if the room or
cottage you requested is unavailable or if an
alternative charge card is required. Your
reservation is not complete until confirmed by email
within 24 hours.
Advance Deposit: We charge one
night's lodging to your credit card on the day your
reservation is confirmed (this does not include tax
or gratuity).
Cancellation Policy
Because of our size,
cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore, we
adhere to a strict cancellation policy. If you find it
necessary to cancel or reschedule, please notify Guest
Services about all changes and cancellations during
regular office hours.
For cancellations or changes greater than 14 days prior
to your arrival, there will be a $25 processing fee. For
cancellations or changes with less than 14 days and more
than three days prior to arrival, you will be charged
for one nights stay plus a $25 processing fee (unless we
can rebook your room). In the event you need to cancel
or reschedule three days or less, prior to arrival, you
will be responsible for the entire length of your stay
plus a $25 processing fee (unless we can rebook your
room).
We guarantee your room; therefore, cancellations &
changes must be made directly with guest services during
regular office hours (9am-6pm daily). In the event of
an early departure, we are unable to provide a refund of
any type. In any case, any changes or cancellations will
result in a $25 processing fee.

TWO NIGHT
WEEKEND MINIMUM. If you request a Saturday night
stay, you must link it with either Friday or Sunday
with both nights at the weekend rate. A Friday night
stay also requires a two-night minimum, and Friday
is always sold at the weekend rate. Some exceptions
are made during winter months.

OCTOBER/HOLIDAY BLACKOUT. All October dates and most
holiday dates are at the weekend rate.

NO
SMOKING. There's no smoking anywhere in the
buildings or on the grounds.

NO
CHILDREN. NO PETS. We do not accommodate children,
this is an adult-only facility. We offer parenting getaways for the
benefit of parents. You may call and we will
recommend nearby areas well suited to couples with
children.

FIREPLACES. In a effort to conserve energy and
protect the environment & surroundings, we have turned
off the gas fireplaces in all units. This is effective
from June 1st thru September 15th. Thanks for your
understanding.
Having said all this as delicately as possible, rest
assured that you and your non-smoking, temporarily kid
less, ready-to-relax friends will be treated like
royalty.
