Golf

Tee off in Hocking County. There are only a couple golf courses in the Hocking Hills region for the golf enthusiast. Glenlaurel’s Scottish Links for one and Hocking Hills Golf Club. In addition, Cooks Creek is a short drive.

The Scottish Links at Glenlaurel consists of eight links-style holes where the golfers experience will replicate that of Scottish golf from over 100 years ago. Glenlaurel guests play on actual sand greens and tees while using original Hickory Shaft Clubs and a special golf ball that travels approximately 60% of the distance of a normal golf ball.

It would be difficult today to find any golfer that has played on such a course and experienced golf as played over 100 years ago, and not say it is one of their best ever golf memories. Golf was not as refined as it is today for the equipment and the actual tees, greens, and fairways. We have tried to mimic our course to be similar to that era. Come visit, enjoy, and make a lifelong memory!

Hocking Hills Golf Club (formerly Brass Ring) located in Logan is a public 18-hole regulation course that is both challenging and affordable. The rugged, yet scenic hillside course has a par 71 measuring 5,861 yards.  The rolling terrain has been modified into a magnificent layout by designer, Jack Kidwell and only 15 minute drive from Glenlaurel. We’d be glad to schedule your tee time or you may call the Pro Shop directly to schedule your own tee time, (740) 385-3806.

Cooks Creek Golf Club is located in Ashville. A semi private golf course with par 72 measuring 5,095 to 7,701 yards. Pro Golfer John Cook, Co-Designer along with Michael Hurzdan and Dana Fry Golf Architects, is about 35 minute drive from Glenlaurel, To schedule a tee time, call (740) 983-3636.
