Samhain (pronounced SAH-win) is a Celtic festival held on November 1st. Historically, it marked the end of harvest and the beginning of Winter. This year, Ohio fans of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series are celebrating the holiday, and their favorite book's transition to a Starz original television series, here at Glenlaurel Inn.
Outlander fan and frequent Glenlaurel guest Jennifer Veach writes:
"My husband Jay and I have been frequent visitors to Glenlaurel since we celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary there in 1998. I had a life changing experience during our stay in March 2010. I was introduced to the wonderful world of Outlander by former Inn Keeper, Michael Daniels. And so my Outlander adventure began.
The OH-lander Samhain Celebration at Glenlaurel will be an excellent opportunity to meet local fans and experience the Scottish charm of Glenlaurel. The scenery there is breathtaking and at times it feels magical. Even if you are not familiar with the series, you are more than welcome to attend. If you like Glenlaurel you will love Outlander! "
